We tip our hats to the creative activity directors and associates at Hillcrest Healthcare’s three Knoxville communities for finding and hosting fun summer activities for our patients and residents!
We know that connection and engagement improve well-being, so we offer an array of enjoyable activities that promote interaction both among patients and with the staff.
Have you ever wished there was a summer camp for adults? Us, too. So, we hosted the West Hills Summer Camp with a week of activities from water pistol wars to tie-dying shirts and from making friendship bracelets to eating homemade ice cream. It was a blast!
The Beverly Park Place residents went fishing at the Fountain City Duck Pond and enjoyed a pool party.
Island Home had sprinklers and ice pops.
Other summer fun has included food truck Friday, summer artwork, safari trips and crafting whirley gigs.
The fun isn’t over yet! Be sure to follow Hillcrest Healthcare on Facebook to keep up with all the great activities happening around our communities. August is Summer Sun Safety Month, so be on the lookout for a Facebook giveaway of an awesome beach bag full of summer essentials such as Sun Bum sunscreen, lip balm, sunglasses and a beach towel.
