Play a round of golf to support local nonprofit

If you’re looking for a way to celebrate National Nonprofit Day on Aug. 17, we have a few ideas, including signing up to play in or sponsor the 4th Annual Hillcrest Healthcare Foundation Golf Tournament on Monday, Oct. 2, 2023!

National Nonprofit Day recognizes all the great work that non-profit organizations do to serve our communities. Every action you take to support these organizations counts – from volunteering to financial support to just sharing an organization’s story. These organizations depend on the contributions of everyday people that, when combined, make a truly significant impact.

The tournament starts at 9 a.m. at Avalon Country Club, located at 700 Turnberry Circle in Lenoir City. Tickets for single players are $100 and $400 for a foursome. There are multiple sponsorships available, including flag, beverage, snack and par sponsorships for $500 each. All proceeds will support the mission of Hillcrest Healthcare Foundation.

Hillcrest Healthcare Foundation is a nonprofit that provides financial support to advance the Hillcrest Healthcare belief that Everyone Matters. It’s another way we tap into the volunteer spirit to increase access to healthcare services, education and technology.

Through golf tournaments, benefit concerts and other fundraising events, proceeds are used to support specific needs of those served by or working in one of our three Hillcrest Healthcare communities.

We strive to ensure that the most vulnerable members of the population receive the benefits of our services. We hope you will join us and swing a club to support our local seniors.

Not a golfer? We understand. Consider volunteering at one of our three communities or at one of our events. You may also donate to the foundation to impact people like Angel Knight, who received five weeks of rehabilitation in June 2022 with help of the Hillcrest Healthcare Foundation after a harrowing battle with COVID-19. You can read her story here. Or, learn about David Hill, who received help from the foundation to repair his hearing aids here.

We hope you will find a spot in your community to support – it is so rewarding to give your time and resources to help others. Follow and drop a message on our Facebook page to let us know how you are celebrating National Nonprofit Day.
