The Grinch’s small heart grew three sizes on Dec. 10 at the first Breakfast with the Grinch event held at Hillcrest Healthcare’s West Hills community.
The event was a family affair benefiting the Hillcrest Healthcare Foundation that included a themed Grinch pancake breakfast and pictures with the Grinch as well as Grinchy crafts, games and activities.
“Maybe Christmas, he thought, doesn’t come from a store. Maybe Christmas, perhaps, means a little more!” -The Grinch
The best WHObilation around could not have been possible without the support of the attendees and all those who worked to make it such as special and successful event.
We send a big thankWHO to the Hillcrest Planning Committee and volunteers, Lana Ham, who did an outstanding job on the makeup and custom painted props, Trudy Durham, Angie Wilson, Susan Viera, Lisa Hooper, Lindsay Williams, Ashley Wolard, Kim Olen, Caroline Wilder and Diana Fisher.
We also send sincere thanks to West Hills Maintenance Director Jason Hamilton; Dave Fisher for the amazing photography; and Mr. Grinch himself, Justin Robertson and his wife, Katie!
More than $2,300 was raised to help continue the mission of Hillcrest Healthcare Foundation, which promotes healthcare delivery in our community by funding indigent care, advanced pharmaceuticals, new technology and equipment and educational programs to patients and residents of Hillcrest Healthcare. Its philanthropic support allows Hillcrest Healthcare to offer and broaden a comprehensive array of health-related services to elders and disabled individuals and provide educational opportunities to Hillcrest employees through scholarship funds.
